Optional Features
If you are allowed to copy messages to other mailboxes, the prompt you hear will mention it. The availability of the operator revert key may depend on the equipment capability of AnswerFirst. We can turn on the information feature so that the date and time are announced for all messages. Please call 800-435-9332 to inquire about other features.
To Change Your Password:
Access your mailbox. From the Main Menu, press 9 for the Options Menu, then press 6 to change your password.
Summary Of Password Features:
You will receive instructions from the automated operator. You will be asked to enter your new password, followed by the pound (#) key. You will then be asked to re-enter it again (to verify that the first entry was made correctly) and to please make a note of it.
Passwords are necessary to keep unwanted people from listening to your messages (such as competitors). A five digit password is suggested. Callers that attempt to guess your password will either be disconnected or transferred to a live operator after three failed attempts. Please do not use anything too simple such as 11111, 22222 or 12345 as these are usually among the first guesses.
The password issued to you should be secure, however, if you have any employees who know your password and leave your employment, we recommend you change it at that time. You may choose a new password shorter than your original password, but you cannot make it longer without our help (we can go up to 10 digits). You may enter the star (*) key as one or more of the digits, but you may not enter the pound (#) key as it is used for other purposes.
