Voice Master Instructions (Continued, PG2)

Some Notes About The "#" Key:

To speed up your entry into the system while you are entering your password, always end it by pressing the pound (#) key. If you do not, it will wait a few extra seconds before accepting it. The pound key simply says "I am done" in this case. When you are in other menus, the pound key says "Go back to the previous menu" or "Stop recording". If you are in the Main Menu, it says "I am done, hang up". Basically, use the pound key to finish whatever you are doing. After a while, you should get used to it.

If You Are Told "Make A Choice Or Be Disconnected":

VoiceMaster is not trying to be rude and will probably give the instructions at least one more time. What we are trying to do is force a disconnect in case the phone company did not signal us properly that someone has already hung up so we do not hold a deal line open forever. Most of the places where VoiceMaster expects an entry, we wait a decent amount of time (usually 10 seconds) then repeat the request. Then we give "fair warning" in case the caller was just a little too slow or did not understand. You can always press the pound key and back to the previous menu to keep from being disconnected (unless you are already in the Main Menu).

To Record Your Announcements:

From the Main Menu, press 9 for the Options Menu, press 3 for the Announcements Menu. Your first announcement will be played for you, (your name). You may then make the following selections:

Pressing 1 stops recording and/or replays the recording.
Pressing 2 stops recording and/or records the announcement.
Pressing 3 stops recording and/or skips to the next announcement.
Pressing 4 allows you to change your notification status.
Pressing 5 deletes this announcement (used to remove menu announcements that you decide to leave blank.
Pressing 9 returns to the Options Menu
Pressing # returns to the Option Menu.

You may continue to press the 3 key (next) to get the announcement you want. You will only hear those announcements that are appropriate for the features you have ordered for your mailbox. Press 2 to start re-recording, and then press 1 to end the recording and listen to how it sounds, or 2 to re-record it immediately. Press 3 to save and go to the next announcement or the # sign to save and exit to the options menu.
